Hello! My name is Talia, I am 20 years old and I am currently an animal care attendant at a cattery. I am caring, honest, compassionate, respectful, and full of love! To me, these are important qualities to have when looking after animals. I have always had a big love for all things animals and I have been working towards becoming a vet nurse since I was 16. I have completed and got New Zealand Certificates in Animal Care Level 3 and Animal Management Level 4. I have 2 cats but at the moment they live with my family over in Melbourne. Although, I consider my dad's dog my own because of the amount of time I spend with her. I just can't get enough! My main hobby is going around my family and friends and seeing if I can spend time with their animals or walk their dogs just because I love doing it.
Since I have no animals living with me at the moment this is how I get my furry friend fix! So I was thinking, why not make a job out of it! I know leaving your kids in the hands of another can be hard and scary. It's hard not knowing if they will be able to take care of them properly or know what to do in emergency situations, but I have been trained and I am very responsible and reliable.
If you wish to meet me beforehand I am happy to oblige! If you would like me to house sit if you are going away I would be happy to. I am very respectful and will make sure to keep your house clean and tidy.
If you have specific rules or chores, I will happily follow them as well. As part of the house sit, I will make sure to clean up after your animal/s and myself. I will also not charge extra to walk dogs when I house sit. This year I am studying the New Zealand Certificate in Animal Technology with Veterinary Nursing Assistant Strand Level 5 and available most days for house sitting and home visits, it depends as my schedule changes weekly so if you just send me a message with what you want, I can let you know my availability then.
I'm looking to spend time with some of your babies! I can work with and walk or pet sit for any dog, cat, rabbit, you name it! Talia did an excellent job of house-sitting our two dogs for ten days - I would not hesitate to recommend her for similar bookings.
This young lady did a fantastic job, we have 4 pets, 2 dogs who are pretty active and 2 cats. All 4 have been SPCA or rescue re homes.
Finding someone fit, able to follow their routines and caring enough to establish a quick rapport with 4 pets is quite a demand. Talia delivered all we were looking for and more in selecting her as our Pet Sitter. She also kept up with the grooming regimes so they were in lovely condition on our return. We were sent photos even though we hadn't expected or asked for this so that was a thoughtful touch. Our house was tidy and clean on our return, plants watered, mail stacked and bins out so she has no shortage of ability on the domestic aspects of house sitting either.
Our family are super impressed with her and absolutely, if you can get Talia to care for your house and pets, do so, she's a gem. This was our first experience with using a paid sitter service, so much kinder on your pet family than a trip to cattery or kennels.
