I sometimes I find it difficult to express how much animals mean to me in terms of how happy they make me feel just by looking at them, and how joyful they make me feel when I see them happy. From a young age, I have known to be constantly surrounded by animals. I grew up in the country of Timaru where we had multiple horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, 2 guinea pigs and a few fish so I never got bored as a child out in the country because I had heaps of company. 

This upbringing I had with animals inspired me to pursue a career in helping and caring for animals and I am currently over halfway through my degree studying Zoology at Otago University. In my time down here, which is roughly 9 hours away from my animals at home I have dearly missed my pets therefore, I took the opportunity to be surrounded by animals again by starting volunteering at the SPCA here in Dunedin. This experience has been eye-opening to see how much people at the SPCA really do to ensure the safety of animals and put all their efforts into making sure deserted, lost, and uncherished animals find a forever home where they will be forever adored which is exactly what I want to do. My love for animals really sprung from my parents and sister as they all care a lot about animals and brought me up in a household filled with them, so I have them to thank for that.  

I am open to dog walking as I am a fit person who loves to walk/run. Can walk for as long as needed and can walk more than one dog. I can home visit upto 2 times a day and spend nessacarry time with animals such as dogs, cats and other small animals and do any other required activities with them. I am also possibly open to house sitting, depending on the situtation. I am capable of administering oral medication as I have had experience with my own pets. I can take doggy day care as I can drive and take them to areas for running/walking around and provide a fun and exciting day for them.
