I absolutely love animals, especially dogs, and would really like to spend more time with them. When I was growing up, my family spent 6 years in India, and my sister and I were always looking after stray dogs and their puppies. When we moved to South Africa, we were thrilled with the wild life so close to hand, and spent most of our holidays in wild life parks.

When I was young we always had a dog at home and when I started working I missed having one, but didn't feel it was right to leave one at home alone all day. Instead I volunteered at the SPCA on weekends in the canine section. Now that I (aged 63) am no longer working, my partner and I would love to look after other peoples dogs or pets, rather than tie ourselves down with our own dog.

Since we are both retired, we have time all day for your pet, whether it be for walking or home visits or boarding at our place. We have a large fully fenced and gated garden, ideal for any size dog. We also have a large fish pond with gold fish, which keep some dogs fascinated for hours! And labradors love taking a dip! 

We are also fortunate to be surrounded by walking trails and beaches. Since we love walking, a doggy stay always includes a walk, or even a swim in the lagoon. Since most areas are off road, it is safe to let dogs off the leach.

Our canine guests always sleep inside the house at night.

We prefer large dogs, but also take medium sized ones.
