I have a passion for Pet care and love being around animals.
I am 51 years old and as the owner of Dobermanns for almost a decade, I knew caring for animals would always factor into my goals. I started volunteering at schools, hospitals, on behalf of the SPCA, and in other venues years ago and continue to serve the Auckland community with my certified therapy dog, Plum.
I have gained my experience as friends, reputable breeders and a professional pet hotel have asked me to care for their dogs and animals over the past five years - I have the privilege of being responsible for a wide variety of animals for friends, extended family members, neighbours, and referrals.
These responsibilities include neighbourhood walks, daily feedings, restroom breaks, watering plants, routing home security checks, transporting animals to the park for fresh air and exercise, and simply giving each pet some well deserved companionship and love.
With being Pet First Aid certified, new and current clients can rest assured knowing every pet will be in excellent hands.
My services include.
Dog Walks Lead - Your dog is leashed and taken for a walk in your neighbourhood. All walks will include bathroom time, food and water upon request after the walk,
positive reinforcement and rewards, and making sure that paws are clean to prevent mess.
Dog Walks Park - If suitable for your dog and approved by the owner, there are several wonderful off leash parks in Auckland to have a canine adventure. These park adventures are also an option for exercise, socialisation, and reinforcing great behaviour in your pet! Park options include: Churchill Park, Waiatarua Reserve, Waiata Reserve, Highbrook Park, Michaels Avenue Reserve, Orakei Basin Reserve, Seaside Park, Lloyd Elsmore Park, and Point England Reserve.
Cat Care and Feeding - Inside/outside feeding of your cat/s (or other pets) when you are at work, on holiday, or when you are stuck in Auckland traffic (includes complimentary cuddles).
Puppy or Kitten Care - Giving the newest family member attention is pivotal to their growth and development, but they may not be able to visit public places due to vaccines and age. Instead, I provide a restroom break, affection, playtime, and beginning basic commands with positive reinforcement and treats.
I look forward to earning your trust and your business.
Fiona was a great cat sitter. She looked after our babies while we were away on holiday and sent us regular updates. We came home to very happy cats and plants. Thankyou!
Fiona is a very reliable and flexible pet sitter. She was timely with her house visits for Buzz and sent photos each day. We came home to a well cared doggie. Thanks Fiona 😊🐶
