Just for clarity.

My home is in Remuera. I can drive to yours for pet minding or can look after them at my home. 

There are two FENCED ( wooden ,in the ground structures) courtyards and internal stairs . The drive is far away from the road as well. Dog toys  available and the furniture can be jumped on with sheepskins for comfort. As well as two new dog beds for choice. Generally the dog  sleeps with me in my room.

 A baby gate either at the front door or before the stairs.

During weekdays I may  have bookings for Dog walking /boarding which  started well before advertising on Pawshake. So I include that in my calender availability (sometimes I'm forget) I take along any boarding  dog with me for walks. If it is a preference that your dog stays at home all day ,my 22 year old  son steps in and either plays or sits with them while I am out for that hour & 30 mins.

I put an effort into the safety and comfort of your beloved family animal.  However just to reiterate I may have a day board scheduled.

Dog walking adventures-  1hr

 I can do Waitataruia   . It has shade, swimming ,mowed grass(they love rolling in it) a forest walk for sticks.

For walks I  go in the morning  and afternoon. .  I try and I change up the walks every day to give them interest :

Mt Wellington mountain-off leash if possible ( there has been a homeless person there and toileting,so I haven't been there in a while)

Mt Hobson -on  and off leash( there has been garden work done up there and workers so running dogs can get in there way.

Kohi beach (Summer hours are before 10am off leash) Winter all day the rest of the year. Fav of mine and the dogs.

Madills farm Dog park - off leash ,ball throwing,meeting dogs .

Cornwall Park -on leash only walk

Purewa Cemetery - on leash only( good for hot days and shorter walks with smelling being the mental exercise ) brachial / older dogs are good for this place 

OFF leash is dependent on whether the dog is capable of recall and instruct

I only walk 6 max.

I can do pick ups as long as it's not too far, and a bit further -for a cost. I prefer not to go to far out of Remuera area , as it takes time for travel and impedes on the walk time.

If recall is a maybe, I will leash them on a normal length or my 10mitre leash which I can let go off after watching how they act . This can be stepped on if need be.

All of these areas are called for under controlled Dogs . I manage interactions,  watch for escalations and  redirect.

I do have cautious Dogs that I particularly pay attention to their well being by giving them  positive feedback when they show confidence and help them gain it.

A dog pram is available for elderly or just a partime walker.

I live with my daughter who is a vet nurse at VSA hospital  and my older  son who is at the moment unemployed.

My Daughter has a dog who lives with us. He is a 6 year old male. nutured, relaxed and accepts all breeds. He is a Chavashon breed and medium sized( the black one in most of the photos)

Christmas holidays I looked after 5 homes, with multiple cats . Dealt with an injured Cat, cleaned and nursed his wounds. So I have proven to be reliable with flexibility and compassion.

I have an animal first aid kit at home as well as one  in my car for any accidents 

Also have extra leashes,harness , a dog carry front pack(small),seat belts and collars .

Specific dog pram for small ones.

Coming into Animal care has been a very fulfilling experience for me. Coming upon this through my daughter who was studing to be a vet nurse and working at a cattery . It drew me into this world of care and maternal protection.

Meeting your Dog will be outside my home, so he/she isn't bombarded with other dog smells  and giving them a little time to met me ,helping them relax first. 

INFORMATION:

OVERNIGHTS 

Is ,1/2 Dogs at a time overnight. It's not a big place. 

The dogs  usually   behave  differently to their regular relaxed home . They can  tend to pace more, get over excited and I try to keep to their routine , whilst encouraging them to have rest breaks to help settle them. Having a hyped up doggo is not healthy at long lengths of time

Important information 

As I am on other websites and have regular returning clients from them

A booking can't be definite until you have booked in and paid .

There are always enquires and they dont all follow up and book /pay. Hence  I cannot hold the dates I am sorry.

The rate is in reflection to the cost of using Pawshake with their 19%  deduction per booking.

I can do a discount for 2 week long stays or longer but the app still takes off the same amount me.

DAYCARE

I can have daycare dogs and boarding at the same time. (including our Yuki) 

If I have other dogs to walk I bring yours along or can use my Dog pram or front pack.

DOG WALKING

I do not do one offs

I can do one walk every  week at the least.,being a permanent situation 

 I have found dog relationship is built on respect and trust from both sides. This develops our bond to ensure safety with recall and playing nicely.

All dogs have their quirks and  limits. With  understanding it, helps them all to play and relax .
