Hi! I'm Som, I'm 35 years old. I came from Thailand and have been living in New Zealand for over 20 years now. I am a self-employed (consultant business) and I do work from home a lot. I do have the spare time and breaks and walking is my preferred exercise. My husband and I own a house in Glendowie and we are very close to the St Heliers waterfront and plenty of dog friendly parks.

Our family always have had dogs and cats. I used to have Yorkshire Terrier (Muffin), Chihuahua (Gucci), Doberman (Jinny), Rottweiler (Max and Choakuey), Boxer (Tiger, Tammy and Jerry), and most recent was a Labrador (Charlie). I am comfortable with all types and breeds. In June 2020, we adopted our cat 🐈 Felix from SPCA. He is gorgeous and fitted perfectly with our family and home. He is 10 month old and love to explore.

Unfortunately, we cannot have a dog now due to my current family situation and time limitation. We have a young baby (2 year old), a business to run and a few overseas trips to take. So, it is not suitable for us to have a dog at this stage as it would not be fair on the dog. So, I decided to join Pawshake and help out with your pet instead.

The service I provide are dog walking and home visits. Dog walks can be up to an hour, depending on your dogs needs. This can include a straight walk or some games in the park. Again, it all depends on your dog, their needs and what suits them. I will consult with you as to what would be best for your dog and what your expectations would be. Home visits for welfare checks can be once or twice a day depending on your request and we can tailor these to suit your dogs needs. I’m sorry but I am not able to offer any home boarding.
