- During the week, I'm at work from 8 am to 4 pm. I'm still happy to housesit/dogsit/catsit if your fur baby doesn't mind staying alone during that time ☺️ (price would be adjusted)

Hi ☺️

My name is Iwona. I am a 37-year-old surgeon who has currently taken some time off from clinical work to improve my qualifications (so I would have more time to spoil your dogs or cats during housesitting :-) ). I am new to Pawshake but not new to petsitting :) (with references upon request☺️)

I decided now is a good moment for me to start petsitting regularly because I love dogs and cats so, so much! I currently work at Auckland City Hospital in a research role from 8 am to 4 pm, so I am available over the weekends (and during the week if your fur babies don't mind staying alone during the day). I'm an NZ permanent resident.

I love animals so much that it's impossible to express in words. My job doesn't allow me to have a pet of my own at this stage, but everyone around me knows how much I love animals and how much I love to take care of their pets when they go away, so I have a lot of experience in both dogsitting and catsitting (and I can provide many references). I used to have my own dog, an amazing Westie named Hocus Pocus, but sadly he passed away four years ago.
Throughout my life, it has been the same, though—I always put animals first. They have an amazing time with me, and they love me a lot too—please see some photos from my many petsittings.

Everybody knows me as a person who just can’t stop talking about dogs and cats. If there is a pet around, I will spend all my time playing with them instead of talking to people 😉
If I’m allowed, I spoil pets a lot: letting them sleep with me, taking dogs absolutely everywhere with me, treating them not as pets but as friends, always thinking about them first—if they are comfortable, if they are happy. But I'm also very respectful of the owner's rules and preferences in raising their pets, so if you tell me your pet is not allowed to do something, I will fully follow your directions ☺️
