Jade

I chose Jade based on previous ratings and a positive home visit. Our requirements were that she stay at our house to care for our dogs and stay overnight. Jade knew we were leaving early Friday morning and that our dogs would be left outside until she arrived. She advised me that she would come in the afternoon. She did not arrive until 6:30pm and an hour later left again, leaving our dogs outside. She did not return until 11:30pm. She returned with a male who also stayed the night. This was not discussed or agreed to. The following day they left around 10am leaving the dogs outside. At 7:00pm she had still not returned. We called her and told her to go and attend to our dogs like we had asked and then leave. We made arrangements for someone else to come to our house and care for our dogs for the rest of the weekend. Jade was supposed to be at our house and care for our dogs over the weekend. Instead she absolutely neglected them. We paid her for a service she did not fulfill. Her actions are disgraceful and completely unacceptable. I have referred my situation to Pawshake.

This was my first experience with Pawshake and likely my last. Our dogs are very important to us and people like this should not be allowed to care for animals. I wonder how many times she has done this before and gotten away with it.

Hi Sara, Sorry that I did not leave you with a good impression on your first Pawshake experience. I sincerely apologise for your unsatisfactory booking experience because I always aim to offer good back support while the owners need to be away from their loved ones. That’s the reason why I saw Poppy and Branch were very cautious (even we had good interaction during the greeting), I chose to ask for help from my boyfriend, instead of bothering you who were having a holiday. You and me both know you have a camera at home so inappropriate actions would never happen or be hidden. But it’s also a good lesson for me to learn – always ask for detailed instructions for what the owners want specifically and keep good communication with owners when I have difficulties. Meanwhile, I am disappointed with some of the inaccurate and misleading situations and time spots you mentioned above. And a couple of furious and threatening phone calls were not a good communication way. Not even the “cool” phone call conversation when you had already referred the issue to the platform but still called me regarding the full refund. I have been on this platform for over 4 years. It’s truly not fair to deny all of the good interactions I have ever had with the different pets and their owners from the past over 100 bookings.

Jade was an excellent sitter. Great communication, frequent photos of the dogs, and left our place in fantastic shape. Highly recommend!
