Hello Pet Owners!
My name is Cheska and I am a 23 year old Vet Science student at Massey University.
I have extensive experience with animals; ranging from pets of my own (two cats so far!), undertaking a variety of farm- and clinic-based placements over the past five Summers and of course attending weekly practical and theory sessions through my degree for the past four years.
These experiences have allowed me to develop a high level of comfort and confidence around cats and dogs of all sizes (and breeds), and I am confident in my ability to provide extra care should your pet need medication administration for example. I also have a certificate in animal CPR and am well-versed in animal behaviour and health through my four years of study in veterinary science, so feel very confident in the right course of action to take should there be an emergency. I also have prior pet and house-sitting experience due to doing this part-time whilst in High School.
I love fitness and spend as much time as I can getting some exercise in, so would be happy to take a furry friend along on runs/walks!
My current services include dog walking, house visiting and sometimes overnight pet-sitting. I do not offer pet hosting at this stage. Specific details of these services may be found below:
1. Dog walking:
- maximum 2 x dogs per walk at a time (depending on size and temperament can take more)
- on-leash walking at all times in non-enclosed spaces
- walks are minimum 30 minutes and will likely occur in the evening or at lunchtime (although this is subject to specific availability on the date - will advise with owner)
2. House visiting:
- no limit on number of animals
- will stay for minimum 30-45 minutes depending on type of visit & animal (subject to owners preference)
- happy to take rubbish bins out etc also if needed as well as checking mailbox (odd-jobs)
3. House sitting:
- no limit on number of animals
- on a typical 24 hours house sit, I would be in the house around 6-8 hours during the day on weekends and during lunchtime & from 5pm on weekdays (depending on work schedule).
- services include feeding, walking, enrichment, company (essentially just general pet-care!)
^^ Please note that the above details are subject to my specific schedule at the time - all of which will be disclosed and discussed with pet-owners during your booking. :)
I am currently hoping to work through PawShake on a casual basis alongside my part-time job and full-time studies.
Thank you for reading and I hope to hear from you soon.
Please do not hesitate to message if you have any questions.
Kind Regards,
Cheska

Cheska took care of our 11 week old puppy while we were out of town. She did a fabulous job keeping with his routine and training and has a great way with dogs. We came home to a very happy dog and tidy house. She communicated with us promptly and regularly. Would definitely use again.
