I have a genuine love for all animals. I understand that pets are family members and I will take care of your much-loved pet as I take care of my own.

I have extensive experience with dogs and cats, having lived with cats my whole life, worked and volunteered with dogs for many years, and undertaken study and training in animal welfare.

In 2018, I completed a Certificate in Animal Welfare Investigations through Unitec. This involved training in animal care, animal behaviour, nose-to-tail health checks, first aid, as well as work experience with the SPCA.

I have also completed pet first aid training through Pet First Aid & Training NZ.

I have good dog handling skills, developed through Guide Dog puppy raising, many years of dog walking in the community, and volunteering at animal shelters in New Zealand and overseas. I have cared for a wide range of dogs and cats, including high needs pets requiring daily medication. I have supported foster carers for an Auckland-based dog rescue by walking and socialising foster dogs, providing behavioural enrichment, and transporting dogs to/from veterinary appointments.

I have a clear Ministry of Justice criminal conviction check and can provide this documentation on request.

PLEASE NOTE:

* My availability varies depending on work and other commitments. I generally have greater flexibility the closer you live to me. Please feel free to get in touch to check my availability.

SERVICES PROVIDED:

* Dog walking 🐕‍

Tailored to your dog’s needs, a walk of 30 to 60 minutes. Off-lead only if: (1) you are 100% confident of your dog’s recall and (2) your dog is well socialised.

* Dog care in your home 🐩

Tailored to your dog’s needs, this can include: feeding your dog, playing with them, grooming, letting them out of/returning to their crate, and generally making them feel happy and loved. I usually spend 20-60 minutes per visit, depending on your dog's requirements.

* Cat care in your home 🐈

Tailored to your cat’s needs and preferences, this can include: feeding your cat, cleaning litter tray/scooping litter, playing and spending time with them, grooming, and generally giving love, attention and cuddles (if your cat is into cuddles!). I usually spend 20-60 minutes per visit, depending on your cat's requirements.

For cat/dog sitting, I am happy to open/close your curtains/blinds, water your plants, clear your letterbox, etc.
