Hello fellow animal lovers, I am new to Pawshake (Joined mid Dec 2019)
I completely understand your search for finding loving, responsible care givers for your fur babies!! My name is Paula & live in Oratia West Auckland with my animal loving family.... my husband & two children, 8 year old daughter & 6 year old son. And our fur babies Frankie 6 year old boxer dog & Whitney 7 year old tabby cat.
My animal experience consists of owning a dog & cat since I was a teenager, working at K9Heaven for 2 years & I previously volunteered at the SPCA for over 10 years. Now I am a ‘mobility dog’ foster mum which I love. Working with animals brings me a lot of joy!!
I have always been a huge animal lover! I am a stay at home mum so have lots of time to spend with your pet. My house has a fully fenced backyard & decks to relax on. It also has a large grass area for a play/run around but that is not fully fenced. The local park (Parrs Park) is 3 minutes drive away with a gorgeous off leash dog area.
Having experience with all sorts of breeds, sizes & personalities of puppies/kittens/rabbits etc to elderly domestic animals.... I understand that each animal is different & therefore have particular needs.
Your baby will become one of the family with lots of love & attention. Relaxing on the couch, cuddling on the bed, having a quiet space to chill or maybe some extra dog obedience....I am happy to provide!
Your dog will sleep in my bedroom on their own bed/blanket. Also daily walks (30 min to 1 hour) once a day or twice a day depending on the energy level of the dog, grooming if needed, a daily full physical observation checks to catch any issues quickly. (Hot spots, cuts, lumps, fleas etc) I have a lot of experience training dogs with basic commands & know that having a older dog (my boxer dog) roll modeling good behaviours to a puppy is hugely beneficial in their development & socialising puppies is hugely important.

We were thrilled with the care Paula showed our little puppy. We were constantly updated with photos, and it was lovely to see our girl cosying up to a much bigger dog and the wonderful kids. Truly great service and will definitely use Paula again. Everything was superb...couldn't have asked for better.
Paula has looked after our 8wk old pup over the past week & I am more than impressed! She is a warm and lovely lady who truly does treat your pet like her own. I could not fault her, my pup absolutely loves spending his days with her and her beautiful boxer Frankie who has been a great role model for him. I am so happy we found Paula and am forever grateful for her giving my boy the best treatment and always sending me cute pics throughout the day. Absolute angel ❤
