Kia ora, My name is Kerry-Leigh and I am a full-time chiropractic student. I love animals! I have a small maltese x shih tzu pup named Lunar who has lots of personality. She is well loved and cared for. I would be happy to take Lunar out on walks with your dog if you'd like for them to have some more dog socialising. Otherwise I am happy to just give all my attention to your loving friends.

Lunar and I live with my husband, George, and we would be happy to have daycare sits, or overnight sleepovers. Lunar does sleep on our bed, so if your doggie friend does the same, that's ok by us! Otherwise they would sleep in our lounge, on their own bed. Our garden is fully fenced off, however, if your dog is a jumper, then we would supervise them all the time to ensure they don't jump over our low fence.

From early Dec 2023 I will be moving to Devonport for 3 months, so will only be available for house-sitting during this time. I would be more than happy to stay at your place, but it would mean my dog, Lunar, and my husband, George, come with me. 

If your dogs are staying at our place for doggy daycare, they will not be left alone for longer than 1 hour, and will always have access to the backyard and fresh drinking water. I am also happy to help feed them any special dietary requirements (please bring their own food), and would only feed them treats if you are ok with this. Doggy daycare would typically be for 8-10 hours, and I am quite flexible with when this would be, so please ask. For overnight stays, your doggie would not be left for any longer than 3 hours, however, if they are needing special attention where this is not possible to do so, something can be discussed and arranged. Overnight stays would typically be a 24 hour period, and again, I am quite flexible with when this would be, so please ask. 

Unfortunately, I typically don't take larger dogs, as Lunar doesn't do well with them- especially if they're still quite lively & playful. If you have an older big dog who is very chill I'd be happy for them to meet.

I understand that sometimes as pet owners we just need a little support to make life easier and make sure our furry friends are happy and well exercised. I am happy to offer that service! I would be happy to take your dogs on adventures to the beach, or local parks. Each walk will be between 35-45 minutes. Whatever your needs are, I will try my best to accomodate them. I am also happy to just sit and be company for your pets, or play with them. I can help with feeding time and bath-time, and administer oral medication. Each home-visit will be between 45min - 1 hour, which would include walking them if needed. I will also update you with photos and texts to ensure that you feel confident and happy that your dog/s are in good hands. As a dog owner, I understand that they are a part of the family!
