For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Pyes Pa for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Pyes Pa Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Pyes Pa sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I'm a working mom to two awesome boys (13 & 11) and we have the sweetest dog, Luna, 6 years old! She's the calmest, friendliest dog and loves car rides. I bring Luna to work with me. I am grateful that my bosses allow me to bring Luna to work.
We're a very affectionate family, so your dog will get tons of love and attention from us!
Our service
Walking Service
Our dog-walking services are available between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, with each walk lasting 30 minutes. My son and I will conduct the walks.
Doggy Day Care and Boarding Services
We happily offer dog care and boarding services during school holidays. To ensure your dogs receive ample attention, we can accommodate a maximum of two dogs. We only take vaccinated and desexed dogs due to safety of our dogs and other dogs.
Our house has a moderately sized, fully fenced backyard.
We offer several dog-safe toys.
Please check our calender and message us.
Your dog is going to have a paw-sometime!

Hello! My name is Lara, and I’m excited to offer a safe and loving environment for your furry friends.
I currently have shared custody of a miniature schnauzer, Charli. When Charli stays with my ex-partner, I really miss having her around, which is why I’d love to open my home to help care for other animals during those weeks.
At home, I have a friendly shorthair cat named Pebbles (who makes herself scarce when Charli or other dogs are here). And three chickens with their own fully enclosed space. Our yard is securely fenced, offering a safe and fun area for dogs to play.
I take daily walks through the local dog park and would love to have a canine companion join me. Since I work from home, your pet will never feel lonely and will receive plenty of attention and care.
Over the years, I’ve cared for a variety of animals, including:

    Small to medium dogs

    Rabbits

    Mice

    A goat

    Hens

Services

    Regular or casual care

    Sitting

    Walking

    In-house minding

For health reasons, I can only accept dogs with low-shedding, allergy-friendly coats.

Kia ora, we’re Kate and Joe :). We're based in Arataki and love dogs. We would love to welcome your furry friend into our home on weekends (we are available Friday to Sunday afternoon).
We have a five-year-old mystery breed, medium-sized dog called Juno - she's super friendly and full of energy. She's always up for a play or a beach adventure.
We understand the importance of finding someone you trust to look after your pet, and the peace of mind knowing they're safe, cared for and living their best life while your away. Our property is fully fenced with space for sniffing, zoomies, and lounging in the sun. We’re just a five-minute walk from the beach, which we visit daily with Juno, so your dog will have plenty of exercise and stimulation.
Please note, we can only accept one dog at a time to ensure they get all the attention they deserve.
We're looking foward to meeting you and your pup soon!

Hi:)I love animals, especially dogs.I started looking after dogs three years ago in the UK when we wanted to get our own pet.We only care for one or two pets at a time so we can give them lots of attention, we love being outdoors.Over two years we looked after about 20 different doggies, all grown up, age 1 year olds and up.We have experience and knowledge of different dog breeds and find it very interesting how dogs behave depending on their breed. We are happy to look after child friendly pets, who are after lots of cuddles:-)I am at home most of the time, going out of house for about 2-3 hours a day. We can discuss the needs of each pet individually and plan the day accordingly, if your pet doesn’t like being home alone we can take him/her out when we go out.We follow strict instructions on feeding as we are very aware that dogs can’t eat everything and it’s extremely important to their health.Looking forward to meet and look after your lovely doggies. We love all types of dogs and have particularly soft spot for pugs and bulldogs :-)Happy to offer discount for longer stays. We also like guinea pigs and larger farm animals: pigs, horses and sheep.

Hi there!
I absolutely love animals and have heaps of experience caring for them. My dad grew up on a farm in Ukraine, so from a young age I was helping out with cows, rabbits, chickens and pigs. Later our family had dogs (a Rottweiler and a German Shepherd), and over the past 25 years we’ve also rescued and raised many stray cats.
A few years ago I got married and moved to New Zealand. Sadly, I had to leave my cat in Ukraine, as the country isn’t on the approved list for bringing pets here, and I miss her a lot. Since most rentals in New Zealand don’t allow pets, I found another way to share my love for animals — by caring for other people’s furry friends. It truly makes me happy🥹
I get along well with both cats and dogs. I can: walk and play with your dog around Papamoa ️️, pop in to spend time with them at your place🫂 and feed your pet
I’m responsible, caring, tidy, and well organised, and I always look after pets as if they were my own. I enjoy an active lifestyle — running on the beach and painting animals . I’ve been living in New Zealand since May 2023 and am currently based in Papamoa️
I’d be stoked to meet your furry mates

Kia ora koutou,
I am extremely glad to meet you.
Abit about me:
We are a doggie family ourselves even though our dog watches over my elderly inlaws 97% of the time. Our son has always grown up with a special relationship to pets and animals in general. We have done doggie/pet sitting, overnight care at our place, dog walking (dog dropped off or can pick up), inhome pet care for different breeds, sizes and needs. We prefer a trained dog due to having little people and would like to work with you and serve you and fur baby the best we can.
We are surrounded by some great parks, walk trails and own a decent yard on our property, which is fully fenced and secure for any type of dog. We have lots of photos to support this.
Looking forward to meeting you and your fur baby:)
Please note that this is more of a hobby and service to you, your whānau and your fur baby, so let us know what does fit. Money is the last thing am thinking about. Be sure to be as honest and share as much detailed information regarding your fur baby. No one pet is similar and anything that helps you to keep to your routine, behaviour expectations, limits etc is what I am looking to keep at.
Ngā mihi nui.
