Jobs for pet lovers

Vets, groomers, dog trainers... we know those already. But are there any jobs we don't often hear about where you deal with pets? We are listing 5 of them for you here!

1. Pet insurer

Of course you want to care for your pet as well as possible, but it can be very expensive. Frenchman Jérôme Salord recognised this as a gap in the market and founded SanteVet, the very first insurance company just for pets. Maybe this is the job that you have been waiting for all your life? :-)

2. Petfood taster

Did you think that their meals were only tasted by cats and dogs? Think again! Pet foods have to be evaluated by human tasters as well. It pays pretty well, but you need to be willing to eat kibble with animal proteins originating from offal and carcasses. Delicious...

3. Pet sitter

From passion to profession! If you love pets, but cant own one of your own for whatever reason, then becoming a pet sitter might be for you. Spoiler alert: it’s a really awesome job!

4. Pet psychologist

Pets have emotions too ... and pet psychologists maintain that they, too, can be afflicted with psychological problems. Would you like to solve behavioural problems in dogs? Then this is your dream job. 

5. Stewardess at Pet Airways

Leaving your lap dog in the luggage compartment of an airplane? No way! In the US, you can turn to an airline especially for pets: Pet Airways. Being a stewardess and caring for pets at the same time? It’s possible!
