Hello! I'm Nia, 24 years old, I grew up in Cyprus but I'm originally from the UK. I'm in New Zealand on a working holiday visa, just traveling and working my way around your beautiful country. I have decided to settle in Wellington for a while and look for some odd jobs to do to fund my time here. I have a degree in Accounting but I'm not boring - I swear! I love the outdoors, I love long walks in the forest or by the beach. I lived near the sea in Cyprus and I would spend all my time on the beach all year round, whether I was sunbathing or taking my dogs for fun salty walks. There's a crazy amount of stray animals in Cyprus and so I always tried my best when I was younger to help every one that I could.

I've gained a lot of experience from volunteering at a dog sanctuary for a few summers in Cyrpus, walking the dogs, cleaning their pens and feeding them. I also picked up many dogs from the side of the road and found them homes again. Growing up we always had at least 2 large dogs roaming around and we've had 2 cats as well so I have plenty experience in caring for them. I've also fostered a problematic rescue dog, she is a pitbull cross and was very unsure of any other person or dog. We trained her to trust again and how to walk on leash properly. She's now living in her forever home with 2 other large male dogs and she's doing fine! So what ever size your pet is and whatever age, I will love them and care for them as if they are my own.

If I'm pet sitting for a day I will aim to let your dog run about as much as they need - if they're larger we can go on 2 walks or if they're small maybe just the one. I love cuddles (a lot) but understand that some pets need their space and I'm happy to let them keep their distance until they decide cuddles are necessary. I can keep you updated on our time together throughout the day if that would give you more piece of mind - I have Whatsapp and Facebook. I am not a professional trainer or groomer but if there are certain ways you want me to walk them or if you want me to give them a brush every so often I would be happy to do so!

I am currently unable to accept pets into my home as I'm renting a property with a no pets allowed policy. But I would be happy to look after your animals in your own home and go on walks (rain or shine!).
