Hello! Sorry I am not taking any bookings at the moment as I've found a new job and will not be able to fully attend to your pets. Hopefully you’ll be able to find somebody though! Thank you :)
Hi there! I've been on Pawshake for about 3 years now and I have really been enjoying meeting new pooches and their owners :) I don't have a pet of my own but I do want one in the future so this does also give me a chance to see the different type of personalities of the many different dogs.
I work part time at the moment and therefore have a bit more time to spend with your furry four legged animals! My busiest day is a Sunday where I'm gone most of the day (8-8) but I'll have two hours in the afternoon to walk and spend time with them. I will treat your pet as if they are my own and will try to make things as similiar to home as much as possible. I have a fully fenced medium size garden where the dogs are free to play though the shortest fence is about 5ft so if you pooch is a great jumper then that would not work.
I normally take them to the dog park (either Groynes or Styx) about twice a week and the rest of the time we will walk around the neighbourhood or go the parks around my area. I would prefer small to medium size dogs as I don't think I have the strength or ability to have bigger dogs (unless they are really well trained). I would prefer dogs to have their own crate if they are to sleep inside. They are welcome to sleep on their beds inside if they are toilet trained and do not have a chewing problem. When I'm not home, the dogs are normally outside where I have a conservatory where they can hang and get out of the rain as well as provides access to the garden.
Doggies who are quite vocal and likes to bark at everything won't be suitable as I have families living around me and there's a school opposite to me. My calendar is updated as much as possible and I will mark it as red when I am away or if I have another dog. A meet and greet is a definite must (although I understand if there are circumstances) as I like to see if we would be a good fit for each other first before committing to anything :) It would be a doubly positive if your dog is already well trained. Really small dogs (like chihuahuas) that can squeeze through holes will probably be not a good idea as I've mini gaps in my fence.
If you’re interested and would like to book a meet and greet, could you please include a brief description of your pooch? That will help me make decisions quicker and it will save us both time :) A description briefly mentioning the type of dog, a barker or not, typical exercise if any and any other thing that may be important for me to know before the meet and greet. Your dog would need to be pretty well socialise too as I often have other dogs around the more popular times. As I mostly have other dogs too, your pooch will have to be up to date with vacinnations and flea treatment. Thank you for reading thus far and I'm looking forward to meeting you and your dog!
